So it's OK to march half naked in a parade if you're ostensibly straight, and posing for a calendar, but not if you're gay?The guys in that photo only have their shirts off, are not wearing "a thong", and they are promoting a calendar they are selling. They may very well be gay - or they may not. There's a "reason" they have no shirt on, they are selling a calendar in which they are scantly dressed. And in the parade, they aren't even dressed like they are in the calendar. If they dressed like they were in the calendar, it would look more like your typical marcher in a gay parade. And it has nothing to do with "being gay". If they were gay, and promoting a calendar (which they may or may not be) there would be a reason to be walking around like that. There's no reason to be walking around in "beach wear" on 5th Ave for the gay parade either. And most of it is less than beach wear. 1. Have you ever attended either the Puerto Rican or West Indian Parades? Trust me, there are men and women scantily clad all through both parades. Random people perhaps, not the majority of the parade. |
