Exactly how do you divine the "intent" of a mosque at Ground Zero? I think the mosque represents the continuing determination of the United States to show that terrorism has not diminished our cherished freedoms. I think Mayor Bloomberg is right on, in defending the mosque. It is essential that government refrain from any restrictions on religious expression.If we say one religious building is "inappropriate", because of its location today, what will we block tomorrow? |
