Mariah probably watches and weeps.Debbie was about her age now in those videos. Mariah started out clean and cute. Her natural vocal talents was all she and anybody asked. I was a fan. She started whoring up more and more as time went by (the opposite of what a great performer should do) to stay relevant and lost me (and others). Of course hearing the nonsense that comes out of her mouth during interviews didn't help. To be fair to Mariah, artists that reach stardom at a very young age like she did have it harder, and don't know what to do when the years pass them by. They are also more vulnerable to unscrupulous handlers. Blondie had a life before becoming popular. They didn't reach fame until after they were over 30. That probably helped them put the whole thing into context and just enjoy the ride. They still seem to have a blast today. |
