I don't know anything about that but airplanes often taxi single engine and if there is an extended delay at the runway, like a Ground Stop, pilots often shut down one or more engines, sometimes all (APU), to save fuel. After my USAF career, I flew Airbus A320s for United Airlines out of San Francisco and, more recently, Washington Dulles. I am twice furloughed and awaiting recall. I hope to hear something towards the end of the year once our contract is hopefully signed and the Continental merger is hopefully approved although that may extend into next year. Finally, I respectfully ask you to take another look at my earlier post. The link shows in no uncertain terms my genuine remorse and sincere apology with regard to the implication that you were a xenophobe. Besides, it was SMAZ who called you that, not me. I suspect your abject dismissal of my request to be taken off the list was an emotional response, a visceral reaction if you will, that was not grounded in facts nor reality. This is understandable. No matter, you really need to reconsider since I do not belong on the list for the reason you stated. FWIW, your reasoning with respect to the following individuals is sound... A1M - Something about a cop stopping someone without ID. Unreal. Easy - Changed a thread title. Against people moving to Montana. |
