Nah ... futility is not an option - ridicule is! Heh. My background is the worst of all philosophical possibilities - I was trained in engineering and journalism, with my bigger passion in engineering. But I ended up in broadcasting where I was able to do both, forever vexing my supervision over which side of the camera I wanted to work on. BOTH!But engineers really piss off political people - we don't care what your campaign ads say, if you hire us up to work for you, we're going to figure out what's broken, order up parts, take a wrench to it and make that bastard fly ... among engineers, it's a known truth that pigs really *CAN* fly ... provided that you supply sufficient thrust. But we'll also warn you that you don't want to be underneath one as it flies overhead and once we've warned you, we sit back and watch as you ignore our warning with glee. My favorite politician is Tippi Turtle. :) |
