There's a Chinese Tex Mex place on Cypress and Putnam in Ridgewood I have gone to a few times, and really....it's quite good, at least for "NY" Tex Mex. It's so funny though, as you walk in knowing you are going to buy Mexican food, but the whole place is Chinese...and it looks like any typical Chinese take out place......those tacky signs above the counter with the pictures of the food with what it is underneath, the counter...the food preparation area also likes like the typical Chinese set up. Just looking at the place, you would think you could order Roast Pork Lo Mein.....The menus are also like your typical Chinese menus. I never tried Taco King on 108th, I will have to keep that in mind. |
