In the book "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth about Compassionate Conservatism" written by Arthur C Brooks who is a top scholar of economics and public policy has spent years doing research on this topic.And he finds that conservatives give more to charities than liberals. In fact it goes hand in with church attendance, strong familes and the belief that government is not the answer to societies ills. And look and at what we as the public knows. The Clintons would write off on their taxes used underwear they contributed. Or Obama saying today that he still wears cloths that he had when he got married 17 years ago, he's not contributing anything! And Obamas tax forms reveal very small amounts of donations in relation to what income earners as himself contribute. But he wants to charge small businesses $7,500 for each employee to have health insurance! Read the book!  |
