Analog cable output begins disappearing next year anyway. All cable systems must be rid of it by 2013. While I haven't turned on my antique JVC VCR in well over two years now, it did have a submenu and a little LED thingy on a wire that could be stuck on the front of the cable box to allow the VCR to operate the box in similar fashion to this "feature" that's about to go away. It'd even punch in the channel to record from for you.But seriously ... VCR? Do you still have a victrola? 87 year old mom-in-law has DVDR technology. :) |
