I just tried using the "reminders" feature of my cable box as a work-around. But it doesn't work like the old vcr timer feature.The "reminder" will change to box to a desired channel at a desired time, but only if the box is ON. So you might as well just leave the box on to your desired taping channel and set up your VCR timer accordingly. I still use my VCR mostly for simple time-shifting recording or to recored the occasional movie off, usually off of TCM. We are still getting some analog channels unscrambled: unscram_channel, service, real_channel_num 2 WCBS 2 3 WCBS 2 6 CSPAN1 70 7 WNYE 25 8 WNYW 5 9 WWOR 9 10 WABC 7 11 WPIX 11 12 WNBC 4 13 WNET 13 17 WTBS 17 18 TVGUIDE 21 WLIW 21 31 WPXN(ION) 31 41 WXTV 41 47 WNJU 47 50 FOOD 50 55 WLNY 55 60 SHOPPING 63 WMBC 63 68 SPANISH 68 71 OTB 71 72 TRAFFIC CAMS 93 73 NYCITY 73 74 NYCITY 73 75 CUNY 75 78 COLOR BARS 99 NY-1 1 |
