The malpractice law you mention has a loophole. Does it cover SETTLEMENTS as well as JUDGMENTS? Oftentimes, in terms of settlements against hospitals, the hospital will demand that the doctor's name be dropped as a defendant as a condition. More recently in NY, there was a case where a lawyer turned down an $8M settlement---and ended up losing the case in front of a jury.As for the Florida plan, please elaborate. |
