But realistically, how many people die in auto crashes in this country per year vs. the number of people who die in plane crashes? It's much more dangerous to drive a car, or ride an intercity bus for that matter. There must be a place on the internet for 3 questions to be answered: so far for the year 2008: how many deaths in auto travel?; intercity bus travel?; commercial aviation? Certainly one plane crash could cause those numbers to soar above bus deaths, but the death toll this and every year in auto crashes is in the 5 figure range. |
