Posted by salaamallah@hotmail.com on Sat Nov 8 10:24:38 2008, in response to Re: Gay protest in LA, posted by SelkirkTMO on Sat Nov 8 09:33:06 2008. oh no no church or racial group made me vote yes even though all ofmy contacts here with every latino and black and even some california whites etc.. , all voted yes on this prop 8 stuff here just like arizona voted on thier prop 102 and the main concern was the gay marrage being forced on children in the schools and the voters here who werein the majority decied to stop this california supreme court decision here and stop it dead in its tracks remember this was a VOTE by the ''will of the people'' here hell i think civil unions should be [ legal relationships ] should be for everyone and divorce easy to do as it is to have a legal civil union !! and i would not ban gays from this at all but i do agree that gay marrage should be forced as sex education in any way in the schools and i understand parents of students who object to this being taught to thier children as it is the law and you have to send your child / teenager to school unless you are well off enough to pay for some sky high private elite school !! and only the well off can do this right SelkirkTMO ?? and especially in schools with religion do you think gay marrage is taught there as normal ? .. .and home schoolers too hell no !! the will of the people is what ruled here because unlike the rest of the country calls us here in california we are not the land of ''fruits and nuts'' as most mid western and eastern folks call us here !! nope !! hell i voted for mckinney for president does that make me progressive SelkirkTMO ?? |
