More than likely Israel has been getting plenty of military assistance. If the Republicans are complaining, it's analogous to a complaint that "we only got a Mercedes for Christmas when we were expecting a Ferrari." "The Bush administration just isn't willing to come up with the same amount of money as former administrations do, and clearly Condi has something to do with that." Fine with me. I don't see a credible threat to Israel's existence, but I do see Israel still unwilling to make tough choices and expecting us to bail it out. |
