Finding all the real numbers is a huge chore, and many remain hidden. I know recently we sold the Saudis a number of expensive toys for no good outcome, and gave Israel a similar deal. I doubt any of that is in this one particular listing. I'm sure there are other budgetary documents as well as "off budget" items. But it's been a common complaint out of Israel that they're being "short-changed" and I'll accept that at its word. I hear ths same complaints out of republicans so it's probably true. The Bush administration just isn't willing to come up with the same amount of money as former administrations do, and clearly Condi has something to do with that. |
