While I sympathize with White's dilemma, what he did was wrong. The "punishment" (death) just did not fit the "crime" (vague threats). Killing was disproportionate to the threat. Cicciaro did not deserve to die even if he was a racist.Similar to the case in Texas where homeowner killed 2 guys burgling next door neighbor's house. Punishment did not fit the crime. And there was a racial component there too -- homeowner was white, victims Hispanic. He too should do time. |
