Have you seen its ice hockey broadcasts? They are TERRIBLE.No, I haven't, though the fact that they are on a relatively obscure network like Versus says quite a bit about the NHL's status on the American sporting scene. What counts is that Versus is showing real sports. Unlike the Eternally Showing Poker Network, which brings us such "athletic" events as spelling bees, rock-paper-scissors tournaments, competitive fishing, and of course poker. My LIRR/NYCT blog |
