Jerusalem has no real role in Islam, and was never mentioned until the Crusades. Then suddenly Jerusalem became the city were the prophet ascended to heaven. That story was created to get the masses behind the battle to re-take the city from the Christians.

The Dome of the Rock mosque should be dismantled and removed from holy Jewish territory. Muslims have no legitimate religious claim to any part of the city.
