The short answer to that is the fans of baseball are more regional than football. You’re more likely to find a fan of the Chargers or Seahawks in NYC than a fan of the Padres or Mariners. That has probably changed over the years but football has always had fans of each teams across the nation in greater numbers than baseball. |
