Re: Is it Still Appropriate to Wish Someone “Merry Christmas”?

Posted by New Flyer #857 on Fri Dec 26 10:50:54 2025, in response to Is it Still Appropriate to Wish Someone “Merry Christmas”?, posted by Mitch45 on Fri Dec 26 09:36:48 2025.

I wouldn't say "Have a Merry Christmas" anymore since Christmas isn't still on its way but I would still stay "Merry Christmas" since most formalized calendars in Christianity would classify it as having begun Dec. 24 at night (or Dec. 25 as the first full day) and going at least until January 6th. So that's how I do it.

Just like if a couple gets married I wouldn't say "Congratulations on your engagement" once they're already married but I would still stay "Congratulations" well after the wedding.
