I don't support the proposal, or most any Mamdani proposal, but this isn't really confiscation, it's just a change in the calculation of property tax rates.It's not strictly race-based, but he really stepped into it by saying that the effect would disproportionally affect people of one race, even though the proposal is otherwise race-neutral on its face. It just goes to show how obsessed the left is with race and national origin. |
