Posted by AlM on Wed Sep 17 18:53:59 2025 I just heard this today on a conference call attended by maybe 20 people, concerning accounting results for the fiscal year of a Fortune 500 company, which ends on September 30th.Company controller: "Let's hope our President doesn't do anything crazy in the next few weeks." That is, in the controller's opinion, the biggest remaining financial risk to fiscal year results for the year that has almost ended is that our President might do something crazy. The CFO (the controller's boss) was also on the call, as were various other people on his staff. And this company is headquartered in the South. There is no reason to believe it is run by flaming liberals. These are not normal times. |
