Airplane Landing in Severe Winds |

Posted by cortelyounext on Thu Aug 14 10:25:57 2025 Here is footage from yesterday or whatever day it was out there of a UPS 747-8 freighter attempting to land in strong, gusty crosswinds in Taiwan I meant to write Taiwan Province or Chinese Taipei. Whenever the pilots tell me the winds during landing are going to be quote strong close quote I get scared and sometimes begin to tremble although I try not to show it. I just sit there strapped into my little jump seat by 1L, totally defenseless, staring straight ahead into the bulkhead wall and oblivion. The hell was I thinking when I chose this career path?
