Especially given the current administration in Washington I’m quite sure FBF could be removed from the National Park Service for conversion to private use. And the wishes of NYC residents don’t count. They’ve proved themselves to be incapable of understanding that the world has changed and the old ways don’t work anymore. In fact, the city’s voters display a weird Whip-Me-again-Master passivity, a prime example being the way they’ve let generations of politicians get away unpunished for the Second Avenue Subway debacle.
