Or am I taking that statement out of context?I worked for NYCT as an hourly for over 33 years. Me as a white man WAS A MINORITY. More than one time, I heard racist comments about me and other whites where that person didn't realize I was within an earshot. This was in the early 80's while I was a rookie and once I caught one about me in the late 90's in the workplace. So please don't tell me black people are not racist because some are.....just like some white people are racist. If I was a racist, I would have never gotten along with all the black people who were my fellow motormen, conductors and supervisors. So many who I keep in contact with till this day, 11 1/2 years since retirement. |
