The policies and politicians you advocate for and support don't make the United States, Israel, or the world a better place for my children than it is for me. In fact, the rise of Trumpism 2.0 (and/or Ologism) has me starting the process of obtaining GERMAN citizenship for me and my kids, because after October 7th, the right of return to Israel doesn't make me feel safe enough should shit hit the fan (as a reminder, I've never claimed Israeli citizenship despite being eligible for it). Given my family's history in Europe in the 1920s and 1930s, one needs all the backup options one can get. And I know lots of people who are doing the same. |
