In the late 70’s/early 80’s West Germany was offering significant sums as well as job training, housing, and other benefits to Jews who wanted to leave Communist Soviet Union. Others remained in the Soviet Union and regretted it. Stalin had forced that wing of the family East so when they miraculously survived Stalin they ended up surviving the Holocaust because Hitler never made it that far. |
