Actually, you should take heart ... growing up in NYC got me over my "first kill" (hey mister turkey, you died for a CAUSE - Thanksgiving) and the ability to do the survival thing just getting home. Heh. But it's not as bad as it may seem if your mind is open. Eventually you get so hungry that you have a choice of chasing and stabbing it, or just curling up and dying. While we have our McMansion republicans ruling who bitch about a few hours in the dark and their TV dark and not being able to hit a chat room as they please - some of us have seen REAL problems. You adapt, or die ... that's what "Darwin Awards" are all about. :)I gots faith in ya bro ... that you're even THINKING about this all is a good sign. Figure out a plan, tuck it away and cackle as you make your escape if the need every presents itself. Bridge abutments as a living choice are pretty handy actually - you only need a wedge of cardboard to seal up against the wind and rain. And the rent's cheap. Heh. But picture the suit-covered anuses who freaked out and STILL blame Carter because they ran out of gas once. :) |
