Well, it did get the govt off their backs about passenger rail, but it was too little, too late. You think Penn Central let itself fail on purpose so that the govt would take it's unprofitable rail operations off its hands? Not the first time a business expected the govt to bail them out. Now Penn Central is a profitable real estate company. |
