It’s a legitimate, but weak, argument to say that Bush wouldn’t have been the president in 2005 but for his “tainted” victory in 2000.Agreed. However, the argument that some sort of change ought to be made to the Court structure so that it better reflects the will of the people is a reasonable one. Court packing would not be such an argument, because future Trumps could do it too. But 18-year terms would be one. |
