It will get worse when electric car owners aren't allowed to charge their cars due to scheduled power reductions due to heat waves and such.Heat waves won't be the problem because the sun is usually brightly shining then. The big problem will be the occasional long dreary gray windless periods in the winter. We will need utility scale batteries and more transmission capacity, since that won't happen nationwide. |
