People can blame all they want to get this point, but I believe the Democrats opened the road to this in November 2013 when they had the power to open the door to the nuclear option in the senate. THEY took away the 2/3 majority and made it a simple majority for all nominations (except supreme court). That was a mistake in my opinion.The Republicans threw the final nail in in 2017 with adding SC nomi actions. So here we are. The democrats didn't bring us here....the Republicans didn't bring us here....they both did, operating in their own best interests got us to this point. |
