Posted by ChicagoMotorman on Sat Sep 19 17:03:48 2020 When Then President obama nonnominated Merrick Garland to replace the late Antonin Scalia on the Supreme court, Mitch McConnell said, would not consider any nominee put forth by Obama, and that a Supreme Court nomination should be left to the next President of the United States. That was in February 2016. At that time I agreed with McConnell. Now he wants to do the opposite. I also think it is too close the election. What makes McConnell feel that the democrats can't do it, but the Republicans can. McConnell and any other Senate Republican who entertains a Supreme Court nominee is a hypocrite. |
