But you think that the cop would have escalated. That you didn’t have a choice. If the cop were to escalate, then that would be bad policing on his part. I can’t control that, but I can politely exercise my rights in lieu of potentially being mistreated. Nothing wrong with that is there? Don’t we have that right to not consent to an illegal search? Not saying that I would fight a cop, because I wouldn’t. But can’t I say no thank you? |
