I haven't watched the video to see what may have escalated things from there and wouldn't want to speculate. But I do know that cops can get very upset when you lawfully decline to comply with their requests. And aside from that, there could be all kinds of other biases held by the cops that ultimately lead to a physical confrontation. Also, cops aren't the only people with biases. We all have biases.The thing that I keep coming back to is that this type of thing is nothing new. There's video so people that didn't believe that it happened just 10 years ago, now believe it happens. But putting that aside, it happens far less now than 50, 25, or even 10 years ago. |
