We'll see if the GOP, "the party of personal responsibility", allows enhanced UEI to continue, and in what amount, if at all.Remember, as BB often says here, "whatever happens, good or bad is on you", not the government or anyone else. If you didn't die of COVID and you're now broke, you aren't "responsible", per the GOP. Reality check: my landlady expects her rent in full, on the first of every month, even if I am suffering from gunshot wounds. The GOP doesn't comprehend that this is also the reality for millions of Americans. Yes, a landlord or landlady could lose their building if they fall behind on the mortgage, but that takes time. Eviction happens NOW. |
