Without taking sides, John McCain was born on a U.S. military base in the Canal Zone, then a U.S. jurisdiction to U.S. citizen parents.Duckworth was born to a U.S. citizen in Thailand but apparently did not live in the U.S. until she was 16 (Hawaii). So I would say her claim to "natural born" is more tenuous than McCain's. |
