After a 15 min wait on the phone, the kind cust. service rep heard my plea, got a polite "just a moment" & she weaved some magic to activate my card. She advised me that whenever used, if you get a screen menu prompt after plugging in my pin # that shows Savings account, checking account, or credit/debit options, always select checking account (even thought the card says "debit" right under the Visa logo).Gave it a test at my nearest ATM & lo and behold, it worked. However got whacked with a $3 fee for using an out of network ATM, even though the literature I got with the card said that there would be no ATM fees whatsoever. Debating on weather to get back on the phone or just eat the fee & be done with it. All in all, its still "found money" |
