Dr. Frieden has more experience with infectious diseases than is generally known, too. Before he was the head of the CDC under Obama, he was the DOHMH commissioner in NYC. Before that, he was the Medical Control Director with us at the EMS Command. Dr. Frieden made a point of riding with an EMS supervisor at least once a month, to see for himself what was going on with the city's patient population, and that allowed him to get familiar with all kinds of "exotic" pathogens.Dr. Frieden, like Dr. Fauci, is eminently qualified to discuss things like viruses. Too bad the Trumpers refuse to understand these things. |
