About 7 blocks each way.Were people walking around? Yes Was it normal levels? No. Maybe 1/4 Did they observe social distancing on the sidewalk? Not at all. Plenty walked right down the middle of the sidewalk. A donut shop was open and we kept plenty of distance to the people in front of us. Maybe 3 meters since it was pretty empty. Somebody came in and stood right behind us while we were ordering. Unbelievable. On the way home CVS was busy. We had to wait for people to leave before security let us in. Hard to keep social distancing inside with the small aisles but shoppers could have done much better. They have plastic barriers hanging from the ceiling to protect cashiers and pharmacy workers. All in all LA residents that are out do not appear to be as concerned as NYers. Many are wearing masks though. |
