Mitch McConnell, Hypocrite

Four years ago, Mitch McConnell announced he would not allow President Obama to fill a SCOTUS vacancy created by Antonin Scalia's sudden death. His justification was that it was wrong for a President to fill a SCOTUS opening in the final year of his term. McConnell said this was one of his "principles".

Here's what McConnell said on Fox News today, when asked if the GOP Senate would fill a SCOTUS vacancy, should one occur now:

If you're asking me a hypothetical about whether this Republican Senate would confirm a member of the Supreme Court due to a vacancy created this year -- yeah, we would fill it."

Hypocrisy is the way of the right.
