Since which answer is "correct" depends on politics, rather on physical facts, they were right to throw out the question. Declaring "Israel" correct and "Palestine" incorrect is completely unfounded. No country on Earth (not even Israel) considers Bethlehem to be Israeli territory. It is part of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria, in Israeli terminology) which Israel controls, but has not formally annexed. |
