The Iranians made no attempt to identify the plane before it was shot down. In fact, that missile battery may have been in automatic mode, not needing human interaction. I agree that no US military aircraft would have been flying at 8000 feet over Iran. However, any comparison to an unrelated incident from 30 years ago is a #whataboutism. |
