The planet is warming & has been since the last ice age. Thats a given.
What I don't get is that within the last 150 yrs or so, there were tens of thousands of steam engines, belching out coal smoke exhaust, cities burned garbage in municipal incinerators, apartment houses burned coal for heat & hot water and burned their garbage, even in NYC there was a fat rendering plant in Greenpoint that made the air stink and on bad days, if there was a temp inversion, the stench would go out to a 50 mi radius, at least.
And yet, there were crippling blizzards, sub zero cold snaps & record tornado and hurricane outbreaks & nobody questioned human activity input as having an effect on climate.
Point of all this is how much of what is happening today can be DIRECTLY attributed to man made activity?
Inquiring minds want to know!
