Baci spent most of the day either (1) rubbing up against me and purring, or (2) savagely attacking the other cats, so we figured it wouldn't be long.

When I had this pregnant cat that "adopted" me back in May, she also got like that when it was almost time. She had the kittens finally in the backyard shed, which I left open for her (she wasn't my cat yet, so she didn't want to come in the house, she was more secure outside). Anyway, she was attacking anything that moved days before. (she LOVED humans, but any animal, had to watch out! She even attacked a neighbor's Labrador Retriever! They get crazy before they give birth. Then some other cat she had such a fight with it that I thought she'd induce labor on herself! It's funny, because now that she's no longer a mother, and the kittens are gone (except for the one I kept), she perhaps the mildest friendliest nicest cat I have ever had. (And now she sleeps with the neighbor dog, so they are friends!).
