Not to mention that teams moving to or starting in the West Coast wasn't really a thing until the mid-to-late 1950's.Why is that significant? All the "major league" teams were on the east coast and it made it easier to travel between the cities with teams by bus back in the day. With transcontinental travel blooming starting in the 1950's with more powerful piston and later, jet aircraft, the travel was easier, to a point. |
