Posted by ntrainride on Mon Aug 26 06:58:49 2019, in response to Re: AOC calls the Electoral College a raciast scam, posted by kew gardens teleport on Sun Aug 25 17:20:30 2019. the EC indeed garauntees that all regions in the fifty states will get a somewhat equal voice. it's indicative of a not-too-if-at-all well thought out pov to state "ahhh, but the cities have more a larger population and hence, should have more say in the electoral process".mob rule is NOT the american way. we live in a democratic republic. the presence of the EC in the voting process is the way to make ALL americans feel their voices count. it's an excellent check against mob rule. |
