I had an EDP who hurled his mother out their living room window (she was fine, even RMA'd). Just us and one RMP on the scene. Before the boss and ESU had a chance to get there, this lunatic--he was about 20 or so--jumps out and gives us the bum's rush. My partner (who was a big, strong piece of work) and one of the cops tackled him, as the other cop and I grabbed his legs, and we had him under control. We took him to Brookdale then.It is possible to bring 'em in alive, as I saw thousands of cops and other medics do over the years. They could have done so with Garner, too. There was way too much push going on there. |
