The fact that the attack on Pearl Harbor is depicted in the fictional film From Here to Eternity doesn't make the Pearl Harbor attack fictional and at the same time, From Here to Eternity is largely useless as evidence of the historicity of the Pearl Harbor attack.

It's the same analogy to any work of fiction set around an actual historical event. Similarly, The Americans being fictional doesn't mean that the KGB didn't exist and didn't have spies in 1981-87.

James Michener made a career of writing books about fictional families taking place over generations and incorporating actual historical events.

You wouldn't use any of these fictional works to prove a point about history.

Also, the destruction of the Temple is a red herring as it is not depicted in the Bible.
