Re: Is Easter better than the ''C'' word?

What you are saying is exactly what I either "learned" in public school or on the streets. But it is not what I'm seeing.

All I've been seeing for maybe 5 or 6 weeks now are colorful commercials from target which was the first place I heard about Easter this year. Burlington Coat Factory tells me it's the best and most favorite holiday of the year and people dress up. Wal-Mart has a countdown thing in all of their stores. I really am reminded of this fact everyday in some way.

Maybe this is the start of the change to monetize yet another holiday. Which is probably is. Which really begs the question. Why is December 25th "the holiday season"* but Easter is un-inclusive and said by name?

The PC police seem to be arbitrary.

*I point this out because you are talking about the C holiday as being an actual "season". Not commercially. Sign up for 50 email lists next year for big, and small businesses (or 5-10), check the sales ads, commercials, the ESPECIALLY mainstream news media and it's opinion pages and letters to the editor, and everything, and you'll see that in practice, and grammatically, the season is ONLY on the 25th. And no one will email you telling you Happy Holiday Season until the 24th. Only regular deplorables see the season as a whole lead-up.
