If it can happen in France it can happen elsewhere.One consolation is that most of the antisemitic attacks are perpetrated by Muslim immigrants, who are poorly assimilated in France. Better-assimilated American Muslims do not perpetrate antisemitic attacks. The assimilation problem is a direct result of "jus sanguinis" citizenship which holds that only those with French blood are truly French. Be careful what you wish for when you want to abolish birthright citizenship here in the US. |
